About the CM85
The FLIR CM85 clamp meter offers both safety and versatility without compromising high performance. Take the CM85 amp probe on every job as it delivers with advanced meter functions including True RMS accuracy, VFD filter mode, Power Quality Mode (THD, harmonics, watts, phase rotation) AC/DC current and voltage measurement, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode-test, and continuity check. Use the fast-responding peak hold function to capture inrush currents and transients.
The 4-digit, 4,000 count display is LED-illuminated making it bright and easy to read from anywhere. Several one-button functions including data hold, min/max, and selectable auto- or manual-ranging. A relative function helps you “zero out” the meter. The large 45mm jaw opening handles conductors up to 1000 MCM.

The FLIR CM85 amp meter delivers on the value of added safety with a built in Non-Contact Voltage Detector and a built-in worklight. The non-contact voltage detector allows you to quickly and conveniently check for voltage prior to attaching the clamp meter’s test leads to the device under test—all without reaching for a separate voltage pen.
This clamp meter also features a super-bright, dual-LED worklight that illuminates dark or poorly-lit work areas without the use of a flashlight. This built-in light frees up a hand, adds confidence when performing visual inspections (for wear, pitting, dirt, corrosion and dust) and makes it easier to read faded labels and other markings.
